Hello, everyone! So, what's there to tell about me?
I was born and lived in Kearney, Nebraska where my elementary teachers had a profound influence on me. I have wanted to be an elementary teacher since the fifth grade. The point is, children set their goals early, so please take your child seriously and help them aim high.
I graduated from The University of South Dakota (GO YOTES!) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. This is my ninth year of teaching, and my third in the district. I have endorsements in math, science, social studies, and reading, and I am looking forward to sharing my enthusiasm in these subjects with my students.
I met my wife, Jill, in South Dakota where we were part of the Swimming and Diving team. We have been married since 2011. In August of 2012 our first daughter Emma was born, and we welcomed our second daughter Kora in October of 2015. We also just got a new puppy named Beau. When I’m not teaching I enjoy swimming, reading, cooking, and coaching the Vermillion Area Swim Team!
My favorite food is a thick, juicy ribeye steak. I also love chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven with an ice cold glass of milk. My favorite teams are the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Baltimore Orioles, and The University of South Dakota Coyotes!
