The Life of a Flandreau Elementary School Counselor
Teaching classroom lessons, Junior Kindergarten through 4th grade, with the Second Step curriculum
One-on-one check-in sessions with students
Small group sessions to work on improving specific skills
Consulting with students' parents and outside counseling services when needed
Community Counseling, Avera, FSST Counseling, etc.
HOPE Squad Advisor: meet twice a month with 4th, 5th & 6th grade students
Monthly meetings with Moody County Child Protection and FSST Child Protection to ensure the safety of our students
Supporting teachers with any concerns related to our students
This is My Fifth Year at Flandreau Elementary.
My Favorite Part of Being a School Counselor at Flandreau is Being Able to See my 270 Kids Each Day.

I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from SDSU. My undergrad degree is in Human Development and Family Studies. My Master's degree is in School Counseling (K-12).

My 9 year old stripped tabby Hulk loves his belly rubs, watching birds and chasing strings!
