Students react to the tragedy of 9/11 as they honor Patriot's Day.

I believed that this photo tells a great, but saddening, story about the attack of 9/11. What happened on September 11th was not a thing to forget for, not only the people who lost loved ones, or people who had witnessed it from afar. The first responders, such as the firefighter above, had to not only witness, but suffer from seeing all the damage and having to look for the missing people, sometimes not finding them alive either. It tells the story because it was traumatic for everyone, and it was not unemotional. In the picture, he’s clearly distressed, and the damage and destruction around him shows that there was a tragic accident. What makes it impactful and caught my eye was that this shows how much this incident caused pain and sadness everywhere around the world, including where it took place.

I think this photo tells a good story because there are firefighters and people standing down there walking through the debris to search for people. It would be hard for them to find everyone through all that debris and trying to get people out if they are stuck. The debris they are walking through is from the World Trade Center that got attacked by terrorists. It shows that it would take a lot of time and work for everyone to search for people and get the debris all cleaned up.

This is also very sad cause a lot of people died from the twin towers falling down on them, from the plane crashes, and people getting stuck underneath all the debris and not being able to get out. People were devastated and shocked that this happened. Lots of family members and friends were lost.

This photo holds such strong meaning In this photo you see men of the New York Fire Department carrying out Rev. Mychal Judge, chaplain of the department. While having a documentary being made, in it you can also see the men carrying out Mychal Judge, after passing in the south tower, from being struck by falling debris of the north tower. This shows the losses of many of New York firefighters, and the fight they went through to stay strong during the trying times. It caught my eye because I knew it seemed familiar, the documentary I watched about 9/11 holds a very strong place in my heart.

After all of this there was a huge mess and lots of destruction. In this picture it doesn't show all of the stuff that was ruined, but it shows some of the mess that this whole thing created. This was only a little bit that was destroyed and covered in dust and things on top of earth and so on. This really caught my eye because there was just so much that had gone on, people dying, running, having to have something over their nose and mouth and so on. There were so many things affected by this. Like in this picture you can see buildings that were not even a part of the attack, and still it is burned or collapsed. Also you can tell there is like dust and stuff in the air and you can tell there is thick dust everywhere.

The photo above is a good representation of how strong our country is. September 11th, 2001 was a very upsetting day. Terrorists attacked the twin towers and caused them to collapse that same day. People fought for their lives and some lost them on that terrifying day. The flag that is flying in the photo represents that even after a bad day the United States can overcome it together and still be united. The photo has such an impact because of the fact that a beautiful american flag is flying over the fallen towers that had caused so many people to lose their lives. The flag flying over disaster will always show me that we together as a country can get through anything.

This photo tells a good story because all the people who came to help, all of the people that came to comfort the others, had also been greatly impacted. They came to help, and some died. Some vehicles couldn’t be used to help anymore because of the debris that had collapsed on them, so many men just had to watch and couldn’t do anything. It makes this picture impactful because many men were killed trying to provide assistance. Many police officers and firemen were caught in the ruble. On 911, they only pulled out 6 firefighters and three police officers who had survived. These men sacrificed their lives to help us out of the piles and piles of debris.

This photo shows the destruction of the plains caused when you see pictures, I feel you think it wasn’t that big but then you see this picture and you see how big it really was. It shows people how bad it was and how much damage and how dangerous it was to bee in the area it shows all the debris and how big the explosion was. It shows how in an instant everything changes and how deadly it was. This photo caught my eye because all the other photos mad the explosion seem small in a way than I saw this one and it brought into perspective how big it really was.
