Refractions is under the direction of Megan Heezen and Tim Stockman and is choreographed by Alex Strawn. Refractions is a mixed group of 37 auditioned students, grades 6-8, from Harrisburg North Middle School. Our show is entitled “Honey” and follows bees and flowers while capturing the buzz of collaboration and the beauty that blossoms when individuals work together! Our show is entitled “Shake a Tail Feather” and follows girls as they dance their way through life! Sit back, relax, and welcome, Radiance!
Unity is the auditioned show choir from Ben Reifel Middle School. Unity rehearses two mornings a week. The name Unity was chosen because it is one of our core values at Ben Reifel Middle School. In addition to performing at Best of Show each year, Unity enjoys performing for Stampede games, concerts, and our annual tour to elementary schools.
This year’s show is about magic, which we thought was fitting for a Friday the 13th performance.

Holgate Harmony – Show Choir Bio Holgate Harmony is an auditioned show choir made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who practice together every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7:00–8:00 AM. The group works hard to grow as performers and learn the skills of singing and movement as a team. This year’s show, Create Your Own Magic, features a set of songs built around imagination and possibility. The performance includes “Magic to Do,” followed by “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” with soloists Haydler Schiferl and Genevieve Golz. The choir then performs “Pure Imagination,” featuring a solo by Addison Malsbury, and finishes with “Tomorrow is a Blank Page,” highlighted by soloist Eden Barkmeier.The show ends with a reminder that everyone has the power to create their own magic—both on and off the stage.
Welcome, foolish mortals, to The Haunted Mansion—as brought to life by the spirited voices of the Simmons Singers! Inspired by Disney’s beloved attraction, this year’s show invites audiences into a Haunted Mansion where they will be greeted by five “Grinning Grim Ghosts”, featuring Elliott Hansen, Emmory Hanson, Eiler Jensen, Jillian Lepkowski, and Eva Vogel.
Guiding you through a “Nightmare Medley”, Simmons Singers will take you on a journey through the mansion with “Somebody’s Watching Me”, featuring Sienna Gray, and into “Calling all the Monsters” and “Come and Get It”, featuring Joy Drevlow.
In their ballad “Lovely”, featuring Lauryn Robinson, they reflect on being trapped inside The Haunted Mansion, unable to escape and stuck asking the question… “Isn’t It Lovely…All Alone…?”
As you enter our “House of Memories” featuring Ava Briese, you are reminded of a place where memories—portraits, echoes, spirits, and unfinished stories—are trapped in time.

City LIghts is an auditioned ensemble of 7th and 8th Graders from Patrick Henry Middle School. Their 2026 show is titled “Larger Than Life” and features music by some of your favorite boy bands through the decades. Featuring hits like Larger Than Life by the Backstreet Boys, Ain’t Too Proud to Beg by The Temptations, What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction, I Want to Hold Your Hand by the Beatles, and I’m a Believer by The Monkees, this show will have you throwing your hands up and embracing your inner fangirl! Special Edition is an auditioned show choir from Whittier Middle School in Sioux Falls, SD. The selected group consists of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders who rehearse twice a week outside of school. Many of these students are also involved in several other activities, including choir, band, orchestra, musical, sports, and clubs. As we open with "Good Times are Comin'", we invite you to our party that is sure to be a fun time! But the fun quickly comes to an end as we witness a murder!! Come along with us as we try to solve the murder mystery and use the clues to figure it out.

The story begins on the last day of school, where students race out the doors and straight into a world of summer camps—complete with games, campfires, and all the unforgettable moments that make camp magical.
