The Color Guard represents the unit with unmatched discipline and technical precision. As the face of TX-20007, they set the standard for military professionalism on and off the field. Colorguard, being the most competitive team any JROTC has to offer, the TX-20007 team excels in precision, perfection, and discipline.
The color guard team has won various awards, hitting the podium at every notable drill meet, such as the San Angelo University meet, McNeil Hal Aaron Meet, and more.
The armed drill is one of the most precise, sharp, and synchronized teams offered at AFJROTC. From sharp pivots to back-to-back rifle movements, the armed drill is practiced and mastered to every step of the formation.
The armed drill team has taken home various first-place wins from meets all over the state of Texas, as well as podims at meets such as the Hal Aaron Meet, San Angelo High School, and more.
The unarmed team at AFJROTC is a team composed of high-speed drill movements, precision, and complete formation skills. The unarmed team has taken wins at various meets all over central Texas for years and has been continuing the winning streak.
The unarmed team pairs well with those interested and/or are currently in the Armed team, as both offer similar drill sequences and timings.
The physical training team (PT), is AFJROTC's main workout team that consists of cardio, calisthenics, and grit. The PT team has taken home numerous wins throughout the years and has only increased its numbers.
The PT team is open to all cadets, regardless of physical level. The team is meant to help increase physical fitness and the well-being of all cadets.
One of the newest drill teams offered at AFJROTC, the saber team is TX-20007's most precise, formal, and ceremonial team, consisting of members using sabres to demonstrate various movements, commands, and steps.
The team has had its earlier debut in 2025 and has taken various recognitions from various events throughout the year of AFJROTC.
The APT Team (Awareness Presentation Team), is a special team established in AFJROTC to not only spread awareness of our program, but also explain what we do, how it's benificial, and what you can earn being in this program.
While we do focus on spreading awareness of our program, we also emphasize overall wellness. We promote PT, healthier choices, preventing drug usage, and encourage an overall beneficial lifestyle to an individual.
The exhibition team at AFJROTC is the team where an cadet can perform freestyle movements with their rifle, perform spinning movements with precision and perfection.
The team has taken various awards based on precision and bold moves with rifles at various events.
The model rocketry team consists of building rockets that cadets make themselves, test them into the air, and then compete on various bases depending on height and distance. The team has taken various podiums and wins such as the Antler Classic Meet.
The academic team is the newest team offered at AFJROTC. The team consists of 4 main competitors taking JLAB national level tests, consisting of math, general knowledge, U.S. history, chain of command, and more. The team has taken high-ranking wins since its debut.
The quadcopter team is a staple at AFJROTC. The team consists of making drones, testing them with compability of the FAA and testing them in various environements. The team has taken many wins throughout its years and continues to do so.
