Meet The Team

Overview

Team 4545 Ouroboros is an FTC Robotics team from Vandegrift High School that wants to share the excitement of robotics and S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with others. We have 4 Hardware members, one Marketing member, and four Software members. 4545 Ouroboros was started in 2010 as the original Vandegrift Viperbots team. Thirteen years later, 4545 is still thriving and, we are all very excited to compete in this year’s FTC challenge, Center Stage!

"I wanted to cultivate a culture where everyone can learn and grow. I also wanted to further my programming skills. I learned how to code custom algorithms like PID, feedforward, threading, etc. I look forward to teaching new members and implementing the control algorithms I researched this summer!"

"Over two enjoyable years with Viperbots, I've gained a wealth of technical skills in CAD, 3D printing, CNC, and more, but it's the invaluable soft skills I acquired from teamwork that stand out. I'm eager for the upcoming season to deepen my technical expertise and enhance my interpersonal abilities, and with all the enriching experiences and opportunities Viperbots has provided, it's clear why I'm continuing for a third year."

"I've continued with Viperbots because I love the community, and how everyone is so supportive of each other. I've gained many skills such as CAD and how to properly use tools. Ultimately, I've learned the basic foundations of creating a working robot! I look forward to building a great robot this season!"

"I have continued with Viperbots because the community is full of likeminded and inspiring friends that I have come to know. This and the skills such as CAD and CNC, that I have learned through training and hands on experience, has let me grow as a person significantly. I'm looking forward to our outreach opportunities so I can become more aware of the technology in our community."
