What time does school start?
The first class of the day begins at 8:50AM. It is important to be in classes on time!
What if I am sick or cannot come to school?
Your parent will need to call the school at 737-3500 or can facebook message the school or send an email in order to let Ms. Buchan know you will be sick. There may be additional protocols in place depending on the COVID-19 regulations in fall of 2021
What if I need to leave early for an appointment or because I am sick?
You will need to check in at the office with Ms. Buchan and let her know, and have your parents call or message the school.
Hall Passes
Sioux North uses hall passes for taking breaks from class. It is important you follow classroom procedures so as to be in classes during class time!
Can I use my cell phone at school?
Please review the personal device rules for SNHS in the slideshow below.
Smoking and Vaping are not allowed on school property. You will need to go to the Third Avenue entrance to use any tobacco products.

Depending on the COVID-19 situation in the fall of 2021, there may be additional health and safety precautions in place for both staff and students.
Currently, the following COVID-19 policies are in place for all students:
Students must wear masks inside the SNHS building. These masks can only be removed to eat or drink.
Students are to use the provided hand sanitizer each time they enter the building.
Students must maintain a 2 meter distance from other people in the building whenever possible.
Washroom capacity is limited to 3 students at a time
Students are co-horted to minimize direct contacts.
Students can eat their lunch in their morning classroom, or leave the building for lunch
Students can use the washroom/get a drink during break, but cannot walk the halls or congregate inside. Students are allowed to stay in their classroom during the break, or exit the building.
Breaks are co-horted by grade in order to minimize direct and indirect contacts
All classes with experiential learning components (i.e. gym, cooking, tech) have specific COVID-19 regulations for their subject area.
Students must complete the provincial COVID-19 screening tool and show proof of successfully passing the screening (students show classroom teachers daily)
Students who do not pass the daily screening, must stay home and follow the directions of the NWHU
