I grew up right here in Hilo (Waiakea Uka to be exact) and graduated from Hilo High School and Linfield University in Oregon. I have been teaching Social Studies at Waiakea Intermediate School for 10 years.

Sports have always been a big part of my life...while growing up I played soccer, basketball, and ran track. 

About 7 years ago I started paddling canoe for Puna Canoe Club.
