Research on leadership documents the importance of providing high-quality support to leaders in their initial years of principal induction. With the support of regular visits by job-embedded coaches, Principals will develop their skills and practice to deliver feedback aimed at improving instruction and teacher performance.

The New Principal Academy (NPA) aims to:
Build the leadership capacity of our Principals to lead through effective, innovative practices as guided by the Board of Education and the Superintendent; and
Create an institutional forum where new Principals, along with their coaches, can gain new knowledge and support in redesigning highly effective schools to promote student achievement.
