Confidentiality entails the ethical and legal responsibility of counselors to safeguard counselees from unauthorized disclosures of information given in a counseling session. Confidentiality can be broken only when there is a threat to the counselee or others, or when abuse is disclosed.
Pearl City High School's Counseling Department provides academic advising, social skill building, conflict resolution, and guidance to assist our students to achieve post-high school college and career readiness.
Students and parents are encouraged to work collaboratively with the school to maximize the PCHS academic experience. The goal of this interaction is the achievement of a positive learning environment, a responsible self-directed student, and the achievement of “Excellence with Honor.”
