Hawaii Online Courses (HOC; formerly E-School) is a supplementary program provided by the Hawaii DOE and secondary courses are offered to students free of charge during the school year. (Note: HOC summer courses may be fee-based). A designated School Site Facilitator is responsible for registering students for semester and yearlong HOC courses. Parents are responsible for summer registration, and are advised to register as soon as the registration opens for best selection of courses. Courses fill up quickly.
Students must be enrolled full-time in a Hawaii DOE or charter school in order to take HOC classes.
