Welcome to our website for After School Programs! Here you will find general information, the course catalog, registration form, schedules, and flyers.
May 15, 2025: Tomorrow, May 16, is the last day for Session 4. If you are in a paid program, please double check the communication received from the program director for your end date. Thank you everyone for a successful After school Program this year!
March 31, 2025: Session 4 starts today! Please go over the schedule with your child so that they remember when they have class. It sometimes takes many, many, many conversations before they get into the routine. For those of you that are in a paid program, please refer to the email that you received to get the important dates.
March 24, 2025: Registration will remain open through Thursday, March 24. We still have a lot of space in Firefighters Fitness & Fun, Hawaiian Dance & Culture, and both Mana Mele classes. You can register online or download and print a hard copy to turn in. Register via the "Registration Form" tab.
After school programs (ASP) provide enrichment and extracurricular opportunities for our students. We have a combination of classes offered: classes provided through the school and classes provided by outside vendors for a small charge. A lottery will be held for classes offered through the school. Outside vendors’ classes are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Important note: After school tutoring takes precedence over extracurricular programs. Your child’s teacher will be in touch with you if this is the case. If your child is in tutoring and wants to participate in programs provided by outside vendors, sign up only if there isn’t a scheduling conflict.
Please consider your schedule as well as your child's schedule before submitting a registration form. For your child to be most successful in an after school program, he/she is expected to attend all sessions, be on time, in class for the whole session, and picked up on time if not in A+.
We would like to make you aware of situations that are grounds for removal from any class. We will make every effort to work with you and your child before we take this drastic step.
3 unexcused absences
Disruptive and/or disrespectful behavior
**Siblings of students in any program must be picked up as we are not able to offer supervision.
Please contact Mrs. Nakamura if you have any questions.
Before you register, please view the Course Catalog. Pay special attention to the age group and schedule.
Register using the online Registration Form. If you need a hard copy registration form, contact your child's teacher or Mrs. Nakamura, (808)587-4500 or lisa.nakamura@k12.hi.us
*A note about After School Programs Lottery - We will try our very best to place students who were waitlisted for the previous Session and who sign up for the new Session. But please know that priority does not guarantee a placement as classes are contingent upon the amount of spaces we have available.
March 16, 2025: The deadline to register for Session 4 has been extended to Tuesday, March 17. There are still openings for most classes, especially the classes for Grades 3-5.
March 7, 2025: Registration for Session 4 is open! Last day to register is March 13, this Thursday. Please make sure to read about the courses in the Course Catalog tab to assure that your child fits the age group and is able to make all of the classes. If you need a hard copy of the registration form, please let me or your child's teacher know right away.
March 4, 2025: Coming soon! Registration for Session 4 will open on Monday, March 10. Last day of Session 3 is Friday, March 7. Classes by outside vendors and HĀ will continue to run as they are on a different schedule.
Feb. 2, 2025: Registration is still open for classes offered by outside vendors! Please visit the Catalog tab for information on the classes and how to register.
Jan. 14, 2025: Classes started on Jan. 13. Please help your child remember their after school schedule. This will help their classroom teachers greatly! Also, please remember that an adult needs to let the Office, homeroom teacher, OR Mrs. Nakamura know if there is going to be an absence. This is so that your child is accounted for and teachers do not need to spend time tracking them down. Thank you!
Jan. 10, 2025: We still have some openings in classes offered by Pauoa. Please see the catalog for details. Registration will remain open until Jan. 10, 4:30pm. There are still a lot of space in the classes provided by outside vendors. Please go to the catalog tab to see the flyers in order to register.
Jan. 5, 2025: Confirmation and waitlist letters will be sent home on Jan. 8. If you registered for a Pauoa class and did not receive a letter, please let Mrs. Nakamura know right away. Classes provided by outside vendors still have their registration open!
Dec. 17, 2024: Registration for Session 3 after school programs offered by Pauoa is now open. Please visit the Registration Form page to register. Registration is due on Friday, Dec. 20.
Classes offered by outside vendors have their registration open as well.
Dec. 6, 2024: For classes offered by Pauoa, the registration form will open on Dec. 17. For classes offered by outside vendors, you may register on your own at any time; these classes are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
As of today, the catalog is still under construction. We are waiting to hear back from a handful of teachers. Please stay tuned and check back before Pauoa registration opens on Dec. 17.
If you have family/friends at Pauoa, please help to spread the word that our after school programs has moved to this google site and registration forms are all online (unless they request a hard copy).
