*Fee Waiver Eligibility for SAT Only
Who’s Eligible? Students who qualify for or are enrolled in the NSLP are eligible. Students in areas covered by the Community Eligibility Provision must qualify on an individual basis. The SAT follows this fee-waiver criteria; PSAT assessments no longer allow the fee-waiver option, as the pricing has changed, effective SY 23-24.
Alternative Eligibility: Eleventh-graders qualify for fee waivers if any of the following statements is true:
Their family’s annual income falls within the Income Eligibility Guidelines set by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service. View the USDA's Income Eligibility Guidelines.
They’re enrolled in a federal, state, or local program that aids students from low-income families (e.g., TRIO programs such as Upward Bound). PSAT/NMSQT Coordinators responsible for requesting fee waivers should work with the individuals coordinating these programs to ensure that sufficient quantities of fee waivers are requested by the deadline.
Their family receives public assistance.
They’re homeless or live in federally subsidized public housing or a foster home.
They’re a ward of the state or an orphan.
