Your Social Security Number
Your Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
Your federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)
Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
An FSA ID to sign electronically. FSA ID must be completed at least 5 days before starting the FAFSA application.
If you are a dependent student, then you will also need most of the above information for your parent(s).

FSA ID
An FSA ID (Federal Student Aid ID) is a username and password combination that is used to log in and complete your FAFSA application.
For the School Year 2023-24, the Federal Student Aid ID must be completed at least 5 days before starting the FAFSA application process. It is highly recommended to create your FSA ID between September-November, so that you are ready to start the FAFSA application. *Please keep your FSA ID in a safe and secure location that you can remember. This information is confidential and school staff will not be allowed to hold onto it for you.
