COVID-19 and School Closure

The Na'alehu Elementary School is currently closed.

Aloha Families and Students. Today is March 24. The Hawaii Department of Education has closed school facilities until April 30. Traditional in-school instruction is on hold until schools reopen. During this week, teachers and staff are planning and working to ensure that families have resources and guidance for learning at home. A plan is being developed to distribute resources to families on Monday, March 30,  and every 2 weeks after that. We will be offering 7 locations and times. Specific details will be shared Friday, March 27. Please know that we care about our children and our families. Take care. Principal Javar

Teachers have been contacting parents for learning packet pick up. Supplies will be distributed Drive Through Window style. Follow traffic flow. Make order at the first stop: "3 Fourth grade, 2 first grade, 1 third grade." Drive forward to a table and pick up bags. If you are picking up for other family or friends, please CONFIRM with family so we don't run out of supplies. Bags are not identical. You will inform teacher later on what child has. Staggered times by last name is to reduce the number of people at one location. Please use aloha. Principal Javar
