💭Tenacity. Are you stuck? Do you need help? Instead of giving up and doing nothing think of a solution and try it. Make mistakes and do it all wrong so you can do it better next time.
❓ Observe & Ask questions. Have you tried everything you can think of? Ask for your friends for help, ask the teacher for help. Don't give up and do nothing. Asking questions leads to answers.
😁 Respect. Be respectful on the internet, with equipment, to classmates, to the teacher and to yourself: Be respectful, kind and patient. We all make mistakes, correct them and move on. Take care of your relationships, equipment and digital identity so that there are no regrets later.
💡 Come up with ideas, be Curious. If you're thinking and asking questions you'll come up with ideas. The only bad ideas are the ones you never try.
🎯 Hard-working. Be self-directed. Do it on your own. Don't just give up and do nothing because it's hard or you don't know. You're not a robot waiting to be programmed and told what to do.
🍔NO FOOD OR DRINKS. This is a laboratory classroom and there is no food or drink during class time unless it is part of an assignment.
🦉BE MATURE! You're in high school preparing for college or a career. Take it seriously and treat everyone with respect.
📵NO CELLPHONES unless it has been pre-approved for use on an assignment. All phones must be turned off and out of sight or it will be taken away.
🧹CLEAN UP! This is a shared work space, you must keep it clean. Throw away ANY trash around your work area, and put away supplies you take out.
🤬NO SWEARING. There's a time and place for it, this is neither the time nor the place for it.
😴 NO SLEEPING. Pay attention when someone is teaching you something. Even if you don't think it's important someone else does. Plus, it's just rude to whoever is talking/teaching.
🧠 COME PREPARED with a growth mindset, ChromeBook, pen/pencil, notebook/spiral, planner, homework and in your seat working when the bell rings.
⛑ SAFETY FIRST! There will be no horseplay in the classroom especially during labs. All supplies and equipment will be used only for the purpose intended.
