Class Fees / Dues
Each student receives a $180 monthly salary, even if they do not have a class job. Students with a class job have the opportunity to earn additional money each month on top of their regular salary.

Each student pays $65 on the 1st of every month. This rent covers the use of their desk and cubby for the month. Rent is due on the first school day of each month.
Students are responsible for bringing their agenda to school each day and having it signed by a parent/guardian. A $15 fee is charged for each day a student comes to school without a signed agenda.
It is the student’s responsibility to show their agenda to their parent/guardian and make sure it gets signed. Parents should not have to hunt down the agenda or remind students to bring it to them. Students need to take ownership of this daily responsibility.
A homework packet is sent home each Monday and is due Friday (or Thursday when there is no school on Friday). Students are responsible for completing all pages in the packet and turning it in on time.
Each unfinished page is a $10 fee. Students should check their packet carefully before turning it in to make sure every page is completed. Homework should be done independently or with very little help, since the work is based on skills we have already learned in class.
Students are responsible for taking care of classroom materials and supplies. If a student breaks or damages a classroom item on purpose or through misuse, they may be charged a fee to help cover the cost of replacing it. Accidents will be handled differently and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Students can receive fees for behavior choices that go against our classroom expectations. These fees are part of our class economy and help students learn that their choices have consequences.
Students should check the Class Behavior Tab for more information about specific behaviors, consequences, and fees. The goal is not just to charge students, but to help them learn responsibility, make better choices, and contribute to a positive classroom.
