Aloha 'ohana,
Welcome to first grade! My name is Mrs. Del Aragon. I am excited to be on this adventure with all of you. In first grade we put a lot of focus on developing a love of learning. We will be building a solid foundation in reading and mathematics. Daring Dragons dare to wonder about the world around them during our weekly p4c, philosophy for children, sessions. Also included in our curriculum are STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) integrated lessons. I can't wait to begin!

About me
My name is Kiara Del Aragon. I grew up in Enchanted Lake and my sister even attended ELES! It is wonderful to be able to teach in the community that I grew up in.
This is my 21st year teaching. Over the years, I have taught grades K, 1, 3, and 5. First grade is truly one of my favorites! Some of you may know my husband, Mr. D. He is our incredible art teacher.
We have two daughters, Catalina and Chiarina. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. My next favorites are reading, dancing hula, and watching movies.
Each year in first grade is a new adventure. I am excited to go on this adventure with you!
