Do I need to take the AP® exam?
Students who do not take the AP exam for their course will not receive the weighted grade. Though the student may still earn high school credit, the course title listed on the final transcript will not have the designation of an AP course.

You will need a calculator for the following exams. View the Calculator Policy for the AP® Exams to be prepared:
Biology: 4-function, scientific or graphing
Calculus: Graphing
Precalculus: Graphing
Physics 1: 4-function, scientific, or graphing
What is Advanced Placement (AP®)?
Advanced Placement (AP®) courses are college level courses that can earn you credit for both high school and college. Credit for high school is based upon your final grade for the AP course. College credit is based upon your AP exam score and each college’s specific policy. Visit the College Board’s AP Credit Search Policy webpage to look up score information for a specific college. You must be logged into your MyAP College Board account to access the page.

Motivated
Organized with good time management
Able to complete and submit assignments independently
Enjoy reading and writing
Willing to engage in class discussions
AP courses are not a good fit for students who
Frequently arrive tardy or are absent
Need prompting to start or complete a task
Do not value hardwork
