The Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) Healthy Hawaii Initiative Program funded by the Hawaii Department of Health, and Hawaii Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (HAHPERD) are sponsoring the Hawaii State ALOHA PE Project Video Competition. Students are encouraged to demonstrate the importance of living a healthy lifestyle by creating a personal fitness plan that includes specific fitness goals. The achievement of these goals is measured by student determined pre- and post-data collection and assessment. District and state-level finalists will be selected by and announced at the annual HAHPERD State Conference.
● All middle and high school students in Hawaiʻi are eligible to participate.
● The top three school-level finalists will be eligible to compete in the district-level competition.
● The top three district-level finalists will be eligible to compete in the state-level competition.
● Prizes will be awarded to the top five state-level finalists and the top three district-level finalists in each of the nine districts. The top prize for the state-level competition is an Apple Watch.

● file formats: MP4, MOV, WMV, AVI, or FLV only
● music must be royalty-free

Each school may submit up to 3 videos for competition.
Deadline for video and form submissions is Tuesday April 16, 2024
