The Department is deeply grateful for the outpouring of generosity and support toward the recovery of our West Maui school communities. The state, county and community have been working tirelessly to coordinate efforts of contributions from the community, ensuring that the immediate needs of those impacted are met.

For those interested in making other in-kind offers of support to West Maui school communities, please complete and submit this Maui donation-gift intake form. Donations of Goods for Homeles​​s Keiki

Hawai‘i's public schools serve homeless​ students statewide. Thanks to donations of classroom supplies, the Department of Education is usually able to provide students what's needed for classwork - backpacks, notebooks, pens, etc. We often have a need for footwear, shoes and slippers. General Maui Disaster Relief Support

• General disaster relief donations, mass donation, or volunteer inquiries for the Maui wildfires can be coordinated through the Hawai‘i Emergency Management Agency (HI-EMA) at Ready.Hawaii.Gov. For more information email HawaiiEMA@hawaii.gov or call (808) 733-4300.

• The Hawai‘i Community Foundation has established a Maui Strong Fund to support the communities affected by the wildfires on Maui with resources for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. For questions or additional information, email donorservices@hcf-hawaii.org or call (808) 566-5560.

• The Maui United Way has created the Maui Fire Disaster Relief that will go directly to efforts supporting victims of the fires. Donations can be made here. 

• The Hawai‘i Red Cross is seeking volunteers and donations to continue disaster relief efforts for the wildfires. Sign up to volunteer by visiting redcross.org/VolunteerToday or donate to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund by visiting redcross.org or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. 

• The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA) has a match donation fund, Kākoʻo Maui, and is accepting monetary donations on-line or in-person from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the CNHA headquarters at 91-1270 Kinoʻiki Street, Kapolei. Checks may be written out to "Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement" with a memo "Kākoʻo Maui."  100% of proceeds will go to Maui organizations to support relief efforts.
