Counseling Department Vision: The Vision of King Intermediate School’s counseling department is that all students are able to accept challenges, persist through adversity, and envision their future in order to graduate college or career ready. Students of King Intermediate are prepared to function as empowered members of our community where they show empathy, compassion, and respect for all.
Counseling Department Mission: The school counseling department at King Intermediate School will utilize school-wide disaggregated data to look at individual needs so that all students are provided equitable access to a data-driven, developmentally appropriate, and culturally sensitive comprehensive school counseling program. The school counseling program will advocate for all students, recognize their unique needs, and prepare them socially, academically, and emotionally so that they can persevere through present and future challenges. We will challenge the minds and nurture the hearts of our students so that they become college and career ready, and lifelong learners who are responsible, productive citizens.
