Driver's Education
Our after-school driver training program offers three sessions annually for students aged 15 ½ and older who hold a Hawaii learner's permit. Sessions commence in August, November, and February. The program includes 38 hours of classroom instruction and 6-12 hours of behind-the-wheel training, taking 3 to 5 months to complete.
As of June 1, 2025, enrollment for all sessions operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Notifications of selection will be sent to both student and parent emails. Failure to respond to the selection email, meet deadlines, or follow instructions will result in immediate removal from the class roster, and the next student on the waitlist will be offered the spot. Students dropped or bypassed due to non-response or scheduling conflicts must re-apply to the waitlist; a waitlist position does not constitute a permanent reservation in these circumstances.
Mandatory parent and student meetings, along with classroom session dates, will be communicated via email. A $10 fee applies only to students accepted into a class. For more detailed information, please visit our website.
100% attendance is mandatory for the classroom course. If you are not able to attend all the class dates as listed, do not apply for this course. Students who enroll but miss a class may be dropped and have to reapply for the waitlist. Extenuating circumstances may allow a student to continue the course and complete the missing class date in the next session.
