My name is Charo Aparicio Bill, and I’m the Driver’s Education Coordinator and Instructor at Kealakehe High School. Besides my role in Driver’s Ed, I’ve been teaching mathematics at Kealakehe for over 20 years.
Hi, I’m Larry Verble, Behind-The-Wheel (BTW) instructor. Born in Santa Monica, California on September 10, 1955. Yes, I’m that old. Parents were in the military (Air Force), we traveled a great deal…never more than 4 years in one place, until now in the Kona area since 2001.
Graduated high school in 1974 from Clovis High, Clovis, New Mexico. Then a BBA in 1978 in Finance and Business Administration, minor in marketing from Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) in Portals, New Mexico. After many successful years in retail, I went back to school receiving my teaching certificate in 1992 from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. I taught school for eight (8) years in Amarillo, Texas, with the Amarillo School District. I have been here in Hawaii since 2001, mostly with Kealakehe High School since the 2004-05 school year. I’ve been one of the BTW driving instructors since 2010.
My hobbies include swimming, Tai chi, various Martial Arts…sports of any kind really. Have been enjoying retirement from teaching in the classroom since December 2021. Just teach Drivers Education now on Tuesday & Fridays after school and on Saturdays mornings along with many holidays by assisting students in becoming responsible, safe, & ethical drivers on the road.
Any questions or concerns, I can be reached by texting (808) 895-7018. I will reply at the earliest convenience available, or you may call and leave a message.
