Vision: Through participation in the Kailua High School Counseling Program, all students will develop the academic knowledge and skills as well as the social/ emotional awareness necessary to be college and career ready. Students are prepared to meet the challenges and high expectations of the 21st century. They are mindful, life-long learners who possess cultural awareness of themselves and others. Our students celebrate diversity, helping them to reach success on a global scale creating positive change in the world

Mission: The Kailua High School Counseling Department will deliver data-driven, comprehensive school counseling program that will promote a safe and supportive community, which develops and nurtures all students to achieve their highest potential, and prepared to meet their college and career goals. The Kailua High School Counseling Program delivers a comprehensive, data-driven program that helps all students regardless of background or individual circumstance. Students will gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for academic success, career exploration, and social/emotional development to become resilient, empowered, and productive members of society. The counseling department partners with other educators and stakeholders to advocate for equity, access, and success for all.
