Other HVLN Programs

The Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) HOC (formerly known as E-School) is a supplemental program which provides standards-based, online classes for Hawaii's students. Students enrolled in any HIDOE public school (which includes charter schools) can take these supplemental online courses in addition to their regular classes.

Project Inspire is a comprehensive online "instructor-led" professional development credit program designed to assist teachers in the integration of computer science to a standards-based curriculum. There are set assignment over the 16-week course schedule and is NOT a "self-paced" or "go at your own pace" type of course.

All Project Inspire courses are generally three (3) credits (or as specified) and require developing a Learning Results Portfolio that will be submitted at the end of the session.
