Our commitment to students begins here at school through programs designed to teach social and emotional learning (SEL). Social and emotional learning is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions (Casel.org).
Our school implements Second Step which is a researched based SEL curriculum. Student learn and practice essential life skills such as empathy, emotion management, and problem solving.
