At Chiefess Kapi`olani, we use Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to help all students thrive by teaching and modeling positive behaviors and skills. This system helps create a safe and respectful school environment where all students can succeed.
Tier 1 PBIS supports are provided to all students. This includes teaching and encouraging school-wide expectations that set the foundation for positive behavior. These expectations are designed to give students the tools they need to make good choices and prevent problems before they start.
To encourage and reward positive behavior, we use a reward program called Kapi`olani Kash. Students earn Kapi`olani Ka$h when they show positive behaviors or work on improving negative behaviors. This system helps us recognize and reinforce good choices, making our school a positive and welcoming place to learn.
Our school rules guide everything we do:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
Be Hardworking
By working together, we can ensure all students have the support they need to grow and succeed!
