The Academy of Culinary Arts, Health Sciences & Leadership provides relevant learning experiences through a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum enriched by community partnerships and prepares all students for college and career readiness.
CAHSL Academy's Diagnostic Services and Nursing Services students hosted the 2nd Annual Keiki Career and Health Fair, welcoming 200+ students from our feeder elementary schools. Through hands-on activities such as CPR training, pharmacy pill counting, patient handling, and lessons on radiology and genetics, students explored various careers in health care.
The event, spearheaded by Mr. Judith Morton, Diagnostic Services Program of Study lead teacher, aimed to spark early interest in medical professions. Funded by a Good Idea Grant from the Public Schools of Hawaii Foundation, the fair is part of Project SPROUT, a larger initiative to address Hawai‘i’s health care workforce shortage.
By engaging young learners in real-world medical experiences, CAHSL Academy continues to pave the way for future health care professionals, ensuring a strong, homegrown workforce for Hawaii’s evolving needs.
