The Diagnostic Services Program of Study builds foundational knowledge and skills in radiology, phlebotomy, clinical laboratory science, and cardiovascular care. Students develop hands-on laboratory skills applicable to biotechnology and genetics, learn the physics and safety principles of radiologic imaging, practice proper venipuncture techniques, and understand the purpose and interpretation of common blood tests. The program also emphasizes identifying heart rhythms and performing correct ECG lead placement. Learning experiences are designed to reflect real-world healthcare environments. Students explore a wide range of diagnostic healthcare careers and engage in observations of professionals across multiple settings, including radiologic technologists and medical laboratory technologists.
