Try these before exchanging your computer:
Completely shut down your computer and then start it up again.
From the initial log in page, remove your account (see above). Add your account back to the computer. This will empty the temporary memory and start as if you are new to the computer.

POWER PROBLEMS:
Chromebook not charging? Is the plug on the cable from the wall to the brick plugged into the brick securely?
Hold down the power button of the CB for 30 seconds, release and try charging it again. If it still doesn’t charge, exchange both the computer and power cable at the front office.
Chromebook looks like it's charging but doesn’t hold a charge?
If your CB shows a charging light but doesn’t hold a charge, try holding the power button down for 30 seconds and then try charging it again. If it still doesn’t charge, exchange both the computer and power cable at the front office.
Chromebook says it’s fully charged and you are not using it between classes, but it still dies before the end of the day?
If this happens after trying the battery reset above, your battery is probably bad. Exchange the computer at the front office.
Chromebook or Power Block is HOT!
If your CB or the power block becomes very hot to the touch, turn in both your computer and power adapter for another set. This is not normal.
