Torch Awards

Members are given the opportunity to showcase the leadership, academic potential, and commitment to success through applying and recieving the BPA Torch Award. There are 4 levels of the BPA Torch Award, each with. different difficulty: Executive, Diplomat, Statesman, and Ambassador. Executive and Diplomat are both regional level torch awards, statesman is at the state/Texas level, and ambassador is given at the national level.

How Do I Apply?

1: Please access the following page and click on "torch awards login". Log in with your BPA Member ID & Password.

2: Log the activities which you have completed in the torch award part of the BPA National Portal. When you are finished, please email our advisor Ms. MacLeod. Your application will be evaluated by higher ups and you will be let know in a few weeks upon completion for the application, weather or weather not you qualify. 

It is recommended to complete the application 2-3 weeks before the due date, because you will be given a second chance to redo the application before the due date if you make a mistake, word something incorrectly, or do not earn enough points.

Award Requirements:

Executive: Earn at least 10 Points in each of the 7 torch categories.

Diplomat: Earn at least 30 Points in each of the 7 torch categories.

Statesmen: Earn at least 50 Points in each of the 7 torch categories. Award is handed out at SLC.

Ambassador: Earn at least 70 Points in each of the 7 torch categories. Award is handed out at NLC.

Click on each box to see what activities you can complete to earn points. The torch awards  essentially recognize you for your success in the activities that fall under these 7 categories. They utilize a point system to track your success in these 7 areas and so by earning a certain amount of points in each category, you qualify for a certain level of torch award.. Deadlines will be posted soon! You may earn more than 1 torch award each year!
