Q & A
Project Lead the Way at the Career & Technical Education Center provides an arena for students across the Frisco Independent School District to explore the world of engineering, prioritizing the growth of a generation of innovators and smart thinkers.
The field of engineering is composed of professionals who build the society we live in. Moreover, they harmonize the dimensions of humanity and the natural world through the application of mathematical, scientific, and innovative skills to design, develop, and build machines.
My interest in the field of engineering was originally sparked by computer science. My freshman year, I was intrigued to the possibility of controlling our day-to-day devices. Along the way, the field of software engineering was exposed to my career conscience- conceptualizing and creating digital programs. From there, joining my FIRST Robotics Competition Team Radicubs, I found a passion to fabricate products through an application of physics and chemistry. Furthermore, studying mechanical engineering in the Independent Study & Mentorship program the past two years have connected me to professionals at Garver, Parkhill, and BSB Designs and also encouraged me to design & develop an app and create engine models on Fusion360. The weaved combination of these various experiences furthered my joy and passion in becoming an engineer and now propel me to become a product engineer in my future.
