Watch the special edition of AHS News to get a quick overview of who we are as a school community.
AHS will host live Webex Video Conferences to give students and parents the opportunity to meet the School Administrators and Program Coordinators. This will be your chance to ask questions about the course offerings and the transition to high school. Our goal for the evening is to make sure that you have an understanding of the 9th grade experience especially regarding the academic program for 9th grade students. Prior to the Webex event you will receive a google survey where you can ask your questions. This will allow us to organize the questions by categories. It is important that students and parents take the time to navigate the one stop resource Google site and watch the curriculum videos prior to attending the WebEx event.
March 16th --- Wood Hill Middle School/Private Schools
March 24th --- Doherty Middle School
March 25th --- West Middle School
Andover High School course sign-ups occur online through the Aspen system. Between March 29th thru April 9th, students will select their list of course requests in Aspen. During this two week period, the High School counselors will be visiting the middle schools to provide academic advice and assist students with the course selection as well. Selecting an academic program for the next school year is an important process that must be given considerable thought and requires planning. Prior to the opening of the Aspen Online Course Selection Portal, teachers will be recommending academic course levels for next year based on their knowledge of each child as well as being aware of the requirements of each academic level at the High School. The teacher recommendations are made after weighing all factors, are usually correct and should be taken very seriously. All course request verifications with parent signatures are due no later than April 10th.
