What Is Global Pathways?

The Andover High School Global Pathways Program is a series of experiences for students and faculty to thrive as global citizen-scholars in our complex, dynamic, and diverse global society. Students are guided by faculty advisors as they travel their global path through world language study, immersive travel, service learning, a Global Research Project, global course work and other experiences that lead toward the Endorsement for Global Engagement.

About Me!

Hi! My name is Ashley Veneto, and I live in Andover, Massachusetts. I am a Senior at Andover High School and a member of the Global Pathways 2021 Cohort. I joined this program to design, research, explore, and take part in projects regarding both my community and international experiences around the world. I can't wait to see where this journey will continue to take me through high school and beyond!

I have traveled to many places outside of the United States, some of my favorites being Canada, Aruba, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. Since joining Global Pathways, I have brought a global lens to the places I go. Having the opportunity to travel has opened my eyes to different cultures and various ways of life. Traveling has also urged me to think and accept issues outside of my comfort zone. I hope to embark on more journeys dedicated to service on future get-aways.

I am Italian, Irish, and Scottish. I hope to travel to Italy one day and embark on a service trip there, preferably one that involves helping others, especially young children in need.

After graduating from Andover High School in June of 2021, I will be attending college to study business management at the University of Miami. I also plan on studying abroad for a semester in college.
