Hello, Warriors! My name is Janely Villanueva  and as a Behavioral Health Peer Specialist, I am here as a positive support to lend an ear to students that may need a safe adult to talk to. I am located in room A126. I can provide education and offer resources on mental health, as well as support and encourage students as they independently cope with their life experiences. I do NOT provide counseling services, but rather use my own life experiences to serve as a role model on wellness and recovery.

Hola Warriors! Mi nombre es Janely Villanueva y, como Especialista de Salud Mental Estudiantil, estoy aquí como un apoyo positivo para escuchar a los estudiantes que pueden necesitar un adulto seguro con quien hablar. Puedo proporcionar educación y ofrecer recursos sobre salud mental, así como apoyar y animar a los estudiantes a afrontar de forma independiente sus experiencias de vida. NO proporciono servicios de asesoramiento, sino que utilizo mis propias experiencias de vida para servir como modelo a seguir en el bienestar y la recuperación.

The Mission of Parent Involvement & Community Outreach (PICO) is to strengthen the individual, family, and community by encouraging parents to become advocates for their child's education, providing resources and services that will foster the growth of a child's development and school readiness,  and connecting community organization to collaborate towards building a healthier connected community. 

Our district's PICO program offers support to Patriot students and their families by providing mental health resources, food, clothing and much more  to those in need.
