Our head hedgehog, Mr Brown, has a fantastic recommendation for some of our smaller children but even the older ones can't help but enjoy this beautiful story of family, love and acceptance.
Watch the hilariously funny Michal Rosen perform
'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'
"You have to love the way he tells this story!"

"As a child I loved listening to audio books on my tape player as we went on our family holiday down to Newquay! Sophie’s Snail by Dick King Smith was one of my favourites, I used to listen to a version read by Bernard Cribbins. You can hear a sample of the story being read by him here.
Audio books were a great way to listen to so many amazing stories and now I get to share the books I loved as a child with my class!Â

At the moment in Owls class, we have been building our collection of
Little People Big Dreams books written by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. The children and adults love them! There are so many books about fascinating people, Owls class have been taken them home to read and keep surprising me with great facts they have learnt - did you know Freddie Mercury had more teeth than an average human?
These books are a great way to learn about some amazing people and the way they are written make them great books to share with an adult or have an adult read to you! Check them out!"

"I recommend Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief for Year 5!
This book is a key guided reading text for the entire Spring term. Within the story we are introduced to Percy Jackson, half mortal, half god, son of Poseidon. He goes on a quest with his two friends - Annabeth, daughter of Athena, and Grover a satyr (half goat!). They battle monsters as they seek out the stolen master lightning bolt of Zeus!"
