JCSD recognizes that student health and safety are at the cornerstone of education and that all students are entitled to a high-quality educational experience, free from discrimination, harassment, fear and racism.  JCSD wants to assure that every student in our district feels welcomed and supported for who they are. To assure this we need to continue to evolve our culture, policies, practices, educational environment, curriculum, and student engagement to reflect respect and inclusivity for all.  To achieve this goal it will be imperative that JCSD staff, students, school board and community all work together to listen, research, and plan how we can improve our practices long into the future.
