International Relations

International Relations is a half-year course open to students in grades 9-12. In lieu of a textbook, we use rotating curricular units from Brown University's Choices Program (designed for high school students). In this course we cover topics such as China on the World Stage; the United States in Afghanistan; the International Response to Climate Change; U.S. Policies on Immigration; U.S. Involvement & War in Iraq; and the Challenge of Nuclear Weapons. The specific units covered in depth vary a bit from year to year based upon the interests of students enrolled in the course. In 2021-22, I am teaching this course in the fall semester. You are invited to check out my syllabus below for more information on course content, grading information, classroom expectations, and policies.
