SoundWave Surfing is a competition between two performers who sing vocal challenges for the other to remix by dancing through the captured and displayed sound wave, the dancing being tracked by two cameras simultaneously. Each performer carries a Wii® to control recording and overdubbing loops that they have found by moving through the sound wave. This is a nod to the competitive aspect of hip-hop culture.
