Lord Dannatt’s

Round Britain Challenge

2018

The Challenge has begun!

Marking 100 years since the end of WWI and remembering the fallen.

In summer 2018, the Jubilee Sailing Trust will be hosting the UK's largest WW1 centenary memorial activity.

Our unique tall ship, the STS Lord Nelson, will sail anti-clockwise around Britain in 40 days, stopping off at each capital city every 10 days to change crew.

Lord Dannatt's Round Britain Challenge will bring together cadets and military veterans for an extraordinary voyage, in partnership with Help for Heroes, Poppy Factory, Royal British Legion Industries, Walking With The Wounded and the Endeavour Fund.

Each crew will be formed of Cadets, injured soldiers and former servicemen. Spaces are now open and you can find out how to get involved on this website.

At each capital city there will be a memorial parade to mark the centenary of the end of WW1, finishing with an extra-special ceremony at the Tower of London to present a permanent memorial shield.

This challenge will also offer a truly life-changing adventure for the 144 crew members, whilst capturing the imagination of our nations!
