Have the students select a favorite family holiday image and tell the story of who is in the photograph and when and why the photograph was taken. Students can circle family members, draw on their clothes to make Christmas ugly sweaters, or anything else. As they are doing so, students can screen record themselves telling the story of what they are doing.
Steps:
Use the iPad camera to take a picture of a photograph.
Open the Photos app and tap on the image to open it.
Tap "Edit" in the top right.
Tap on the three dots icon at the top right.
Tap on Markup.
Use the drawing tools at the bottom of the screen to annotate the image.
As an option, use screen recording to narrate the action by pulling down from the top right corner of the screen.
Tap on screen recording icon (dot inside of a circle). By tapping and holding on the button, you can turn on the microphone (the default is off).
After tapping "Start Recording." you get a three second countdown to get back to the Photos app.
When done recording, click the red Stop recording button in the top right of the screen. The recording will be in your Photos app.
