Before the Game
Unless you receive an email from Mr. Phelan, assume that we will still attend the game.
Mr. Phelan will send an email immediately upon any change to our itinerary. We will also update our website accordingly, so feel free to check there as well.
Students who are foraging for food after school should keep a wary eye on the weather -- don't get caught so far away that you will be soaked and miserable when you get back to school.
Students should remember to enter the school through the breezeway, or through the gate behind the Main Building. DO NOT ring the doorbell near the office.
During the Game
We will do our best to perform until the weather forces us to seek shelter. (Remember that woodwind instruments are easily affected by moisture, so they may be put away before brass or percussion instruments.)
We strongly encourage every student to bring a cheap rain poncho to the game, to protect yourself until we can get to shelter, and to cover yourself as we move to and from the bus. (Ponchos can be found at the dollar stores.-- Feel free to bring a spare, in case someone forgets.)
Students may prefer to wear a hooded jacket -- please find something black, to match the rest of the Band.
We will have students inform their parents (via text or phone call) if we decide to leave the stadium early. Please make every effort to pick your student up promptly. (We will not be able to email or update the website until we return to Haynes.)
After the Game
We WILL have to unload the trailer upon our return to school. Everyone must stay to help. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
All instruments should be left out of the cases to dry over the weekend. Students may leave their instruments in the Band Room, or take them home.
We can replace wet music, so don't worry too much about that part.
