This year's Junior and Senior High Honor Band auditons will be held Saturday Dec. 2, and the Elementary Honor Band auditions will be held Saturday Dec. 9. Auditions times are posted here:

We will again be sharing our music with the residents at Sunrise Assisted Living! We'll be walking over next week to visit and to perform a few tunes for them. Our students should wear 'Sunday Best' on their performance day (and comfortable shoes, this time ... :). Permission slips have been sent home with all groups, and must be returned Monday.

Our High School Band will be performing Saturday Dec. 9 at lakeside mall! We'll be set up near the Vets skylight, and we have been working hard on several fun holiday tunes. Our students should wear 'Sunday Best' this day. We invite everyone to come out and help us spread some holiday cheer!

The Haynes Academy Band charges a $30 annual fee, which covers the purchase of music, transportation, etc. This fee has been posted to student accounts. Please contact Mr. Phelan with questions or concerns.
We are preparing for our Holiday Performances at Sunrise and at Lakeside Mall! Attendance is crucial!
Our Jazz Band continues to practice every Wednesday until 5:00 pm, as we begin to prepare for the Bill Evans Jazz Festival at SLU in Hammond.
We spent a lot of time on Honor Band music this week, and are also preparing for our Holiday performance at Sunrise. We can't wait to dress up and play!
Honor Band music -- we're going to do well at auditions! We are also continuing to work on some Holiday music, just for fun!
We will be singing Christmas carols next week at Sunrise, and we spent much of Friday's class creating our own musical variations on Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or Hard Rock Blues.
We're also bouncing between Honor Band music and reading other materials, and we continue to improve each week.
