We had a wonderful end to an amazing football season! Our students sounded better than ever, we got to see several Band Alumni (who were all quite impressed with our sound :), and we even received some high praise from Mr. Chad Nugent, one of our school board members! Most importantly, we got to send our Seniors off in style, with a well-organized halftime presentation and some impressive banners! Thank you to everyone who came out to make our final football game of 2023 such a success (including Mr. Jacob Russo, who pulled our trailer), and thank you to our wonderful Seniors of 2024, who have helped our Band to grow into the impressive group that we are today!
The Haynes Band is the recipient of a $4,000 grant from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation! We greatly appreciate this donation from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation. These funds will enable us to provide additional repairs to several of our instruments, to keep our students playing on the best equipment available. Thanks again to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation for their generous donation to our amazing Band program!
We enjoyed performing for the students at Metairie Academy and Airline Park! Please help us to encourage these students to consider joining Band when they get to Haynes -- we have one of the best programs in the area, and we would love to have these young people join us!
