Thanks to all of our middle school students who came out to perform with our Marching Band -- you were great! We invite all of you, and any other middle schoolers who are interested, to join us for all of the remaining football games this season.
The Haynes Marching Band has been outstanding at our first two football games! We add tons of excitement to the game, and we look and sound good doing it. We've now marched for two halftime performances, and have received several compliments from parents and community members alike complimenting our students. Most importantly, we have loads of fun during the game, and we invite all of our middle school musicians to join us!
A special THANK YOU goes out to everyone who was prompt in picking up their student :)
Our next Marching Band performance will be for Senior Night on Oct. 19.
Please refer to our Calendar for a complete list of activities. Our Calendar is the most up-to-date information we have available.
Students may drop off their instruments in the Band Room before school, and pick them up at the end of the day. Students may not loiter in the Band Room before school.
The Haynes Academy Band charges a $30 annual fee, which covers the purchase of music, transportation, etc. This fee has been posted to student accounts. Please contact Mr. Phelan with questions or concerns.
We ask all parents to fill out the Student Information Form on our website, to continue to receive our weekly-ish email newsletters. This will also allow you to include additional email addresses as needed. Thanks!

Our Marching Band will rehearse this semester on Wednesdays until 5:00. We will continue to learn tons of new music, and we will perform at halftime during fotball games. (Much of these practices will be OUTDOORS, so we encourage our students to eat and drink appropriately.)
Jazz Band is off to a great start! We have a solid group of musicians involved, but are always open to including more students -- especially in the lower voices. Mr. Genevay will be joining us again this week, and we appreciate his dedication to our students. This week we're rehearsing on Thursday until 5:00.
Congratulations to several of our Haynes Academy Middle School Band students, who were selected today by audition to the second round of the LMEA All State Concert Band auditions!
