Homeless Education Program
The McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act provides competitive subgrants to LEAs to expand support services to children experiencing homelessness; to create greater awareness and sensitivity of district and school staff about ways to identify students who may be experiencing homelessness; and to provide additional services to these children to increase their chances for academic success.
