Welcome to Our Summer Dance Festival!
To our Joy of Dance dancers and families,
The opportunity to perform is an exciting, empowering, and confidence-building part of the dance experience! Our Summer Dance Festival is a fun and relaxed outdoor event where dancers have the chance to share what they have been learning with family, friends, and our community.
Unlike a traditional theatre production, this performance is all about celebrating dance, enjoying time together, and creating joyful memories. Whether this is your dancer's very first performance or one of many, we love giving every student the opportunity to step into the spotlight in a supportive and encouraging environment.
As we prepare for the event, we encourage dancers to attend classes regularly so they can feel confident and comfortable performing with their classmates. The more time they spend rehearsing together, the more fun they'll have on performance day!
For our youngest dancers in Tiny Stars and Shooting Stars, teachers will be nearby to help and encourage them if they need a reminder. If they forget a step, that's okay! We encourage them to keep smiling, keep dancing, and enjoy the moment. Just stepping up to perform is something to be proud of.

Why We Love Our Summer Dance Festival
If you're new to dance, you may be wondering why we host a Summer Dance Festival. While this event is much more casual than a traditional recital, it provides dancers with wonderful opportunities to grow, connect, and celebrate their hard work in a fun and supportive environment.
Our Summer Dance Festival is one of our favorite events of the season because it brings together dancers, families, friends, and community members for a morning filled with joy, movement, and celebration.
Standing up and performing in front of an audience takes courage. Every class, rehearsal, and practice session helps dancers develop confidence in themselves and their abilities.
One of the most rewarding moments is watching dancers walk off the stage smiling, excited, and proud of what they accomplished. That sense of confidence often carries far beyond dance class and into everyday life.
Throughout the summer, dancers learn new skills, practice choreography, and challenge themselves to improve. The Summer Dance Performance gives them a chance to celebrate their progress and share what they have learned with the people who support them.
It's a wonderful reminder that growth isn't about perfection—it's about showing up, trying your best, and being proud of how far you've come.
