The scope of the Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Sosial Politik (JPMSP) encompasses a wide array of community engagement themes relevant to contemporary social and political issues at the local, national, and global levels. The journal covers community service outcomes in the fields of:
Democracy, citizenship, and information integrity;
Governance, public services, and evidence-based policy;
Digital transformation, artificial intelligence, labor, and the platform economy;
Social inclusion, welfare, and social mobility;
Culture, communication, identity, and social change; and
Socio-ecological resilience and resource management.
Furthermore, JPMSP accepts community service articles related to community empowerment, education and socialization of social issues, as well as community interventions across various societal levels.
The aim of the Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Sosial Politik is to disseminate knowledge and best practices derived from community engagement activities, while simultaneously fostering a culture of scientific publication among faculty members, students, and community partners of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Jember. The journal strives to serve as a bridge between academia and the broader public, ensuring that community service outcomes are accessible, replicable, and scalable to improve public quality of life. Aligned with the research and community service roadmap of FISIP UNEJ 2026–2030, JPMSP is intended to function as a strategic instrument in establishing Universitas Jember as an internationally reputable institution, distinguished by research-based community engagement.
