ABSTRACT 

Early adolescence is a developmental phase characterized by various physical and psychosocial changes, including puberty, which requires age- and developmentally appropriate understanding among students. This community service activity aimed to describe the implementation of reproductive health and self-protection education through an interactive Peta Diri-based approach among sixth-grade students and to describe the participants’ responses and initial understanding. The activity was conducted on August 7, 2026, at SDN 04 Tegal Besar, involving 30 sixth-grade students for 102 minutes. The educational materials were adapted from Tentang Kita: BERANI and adjusted to the characteristics of the participants. The activities included the Peta Diri activity, delivery of materials on puberty, reproductive hygiene and health, body boundaries, self-protection, and NAPZA, as well as ice breaking and an interactive quiz. The participants were able to engage in group activities, identify several physical changes associated with puberty, and participate in the quiz session. Their responses indicated an initial understanding of the materials presented. However, the activity did not employ a pre-test, post-test, individual scoring, or follow-up evaluation; therefore, quantitative improvements in knowledge and long-term behavioral changes cannot be concluded. In this activity, the interactive Peta Diri-based approach served as an educational activity for introducing reproductive health and self-protection to students in early adolescence.
